Joining Our Synagogue

The Membership Committee actively seeks and supports new members. This includes providing prospective members with information, facilitating their participation in events and welcoming them as they join the Beth El Community. In addition, the Membership Committee promotes a sense of community among Beth El members.

Membership in Beth El offers opportunities to be an active participant in an ongoing and productive Jewish community. In addition to participation in worship services, holiday celebrations, and synagogue committees, we ask our members to support our congregation socially and financially.

Our congregation, like synagogues around the world, is self supporting. Financial commitments for the congregation are established by the Board of Trustees, subject to approval by a majority of membership at annual meetings. These commitments include dues, the capital fund, and school fees. Beth El does not refuse members because of inability to pay specific dues.
