Hevra,
Asael Lubotsky was gravely wounded last summer in Lebanon. Asael,
the son of Alex Lubotsky, a math professor at Hebrew University and a
former Minsiter of Knesset, is currently recovering from a series of
surgeries performed to save his leg. Soon after his injury, Asael
thought to contact the soldiers of his division to assure them of his
well being He speaks of his love for his soldiers, his love of the
land of Israel, and the need for her defenders to conduct themselves
with sobriety and dedication.
Asael's letter comes to us with his family's permission through Jon
Wahl, a colleague of Professor Lubotsky. The Hebrew original of
Asael's letter is available from the Beth El office.
Below, you will find links to PDFs of his letter, in English and in Hebrew.
