Rabbi Scott Klein wears multiple hats, as a Jewish chaplain in the US Army (Captain) and a dedicated leader in his local community. A champion of education and leadership, Rabbi Klein holds a doctorate in educational leadership and a master's degree in Jewish Professional Studies with a focus on non-profit management. His rabbinical ordination is from the Academy for Jewish Religion in Yonkers, NY
Captain Klein serves as a chaplain within the 82nd Airborne Division and the garrison rabbi on the U.S. Army's largest installation by population at Fort Liberty, NC. He has deployed across multiple theaters of operation as both a Military Police and Public Affairs officer and has earned multiple military awards.
Prior to his military service, he has actively served his home-town community in Skokie, Illinois. He demonstrated his commitment to economic development as the Chairman of the Village of Skokie Economic Development Commission. Additionally, he contributes his leadership skills and dedication to veterans by being an active member of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR)'s executive committee.
