IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING MEMBER, THIS IS NOT THE FORM FOR YOU. There is no renewal form for returning members.
Welcome to the Beth El community!
Please take a few moments to fill out the form below—it helps us get to know you and your family, and it's also how you pledge or pay your annual membership dues.
If you have any questions, we're here to help! Feel free to contact the office at (919) 682-1238.
If the standard dues are not affordable for your household, you are welcome to request Adjusted Dues—a simple and confidential process. You decide what a meaningful contribution looks like for your situation. More details will be provided when you select the "ADJUSTED" category below.
Please note: Associate Members are eligible for full membership as outlined in Article IV of the Beth El Constitution and must also be full members of another Jewish congregation in the region.
If you've selected the "Adjusted" dues option, it means the standard dues aren't feasible for your household this year—and that's okay. Rather than offering a fixed discount, we invite you to tell us what a meaningful contribution looks like for you.
We do not require documentation of financial need. However, we’d appreciate any context you’re comfortable sharing, so we can better understand your situation and support you in the year ahead.
Please use the space below to share as much or as little as you wish. All information will remain confidential and will only be seen by appropriate staff—not fellow congregants.
If you have questions, feel free to contact: Ed Fleishman, Executive Director – execdirector@betheldurham.org Noelle Satterfield, Bookkeeper – bookkeeper@betheldurham.org
Every other year, we put together a Member Booklet featuring bios and photographs of current members to help our community get to know one another. We hope all members who feel comfortable will participate. If you’d like to be included, please share a short bio below. You might consider mentioning where you’re from, what brought you to the area, your interests, and anything else you’d like to share.
Example: Sarah and David Rosenberg moved to Durham from Chicago, IL. They have two children, Maya and Ethan. David works in tech as a software developer and enjoys mentoring young professionals in the field. Sarah is a social worker who specializes in family counseling. In their free time, the Rosenbergs love hiking local trails, trying new recipes, and cheering on their favorite basketball teams.
